Climate-Resilient Agriculture in South Asia
This project introduces sustainable agricultural practices, such as drought-resistant crops and water-saving techniques, to small-scale farmers. These methods are designed to help farmers adapt to changing climates and increase food security in vulnerable rural areas.
LIC funding will enable this project to reach thousands of small-scale farmers, equipping them with climate-resilient agricultural practices and fostering a deep understanding of climate impacts. LIC’s role in this project goes beyond funding—it serves as a tool for educating and incentivizing farmers and stakeholders, building a climate-aware community that is better equipped to face the future. By supporting this project, LIC holders can make a direct, impactful investment in both climate awareness and sustainable agriculture in South Asia, helping to create resilient food systems that benefit local communities and the environment alike
Objective: Aims to make 100,000 people more climate resilient and reduce agricultural emissions by 150,000 tons of CO₂ per year.
